Electronic attendance
The Children's Court is able to use telephone and video links for people to appear in court. Some of the reasons they are used are:
- to help people who have a long way to travel
- if someone is sick
- it would cost a lot for them to come to court in person
- if there is some other good reason.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) rooms are available to witnesses and victims. So that they can give evidence from a separate room. Everyone in the courtroom sees them on a screen.
To arrange this please fill in an electronic attendance request form. Give it to the court registry no later than 2 pm the day before court.
