Protection and care proceedings generally start at 9am.

What time will I appear in court if I have been asked to arrive early?

Each day at court there are a number of matters on the list.

Many factors influence the order in which these matters are called and the time that you will appear in court.

These factors differ daily, depending on what is going on in court.

Be prepared to wait a while before it is your turn.

Where can I park?

There are privately-run Wilson car parks located on Pier Street and Stirling Street.

These parking bays often fill up early in the day.

There is limited free parking available for court users behind the court on Nash Street.

Can I photocopy my documents at the Court?

No. The Court does not provide photocopying services.

Do I need a lawyer?

You should have legal representation to help you understand the law and the charge(s) against you.
