Links - Youth Mental Health Support Program
Links is a service that supports young people coming through the Children's Court. Those who are struggling with their feelings and behaviour.
They are a voluntary service and a specialised youth mental health team consisting of:
- Psychologist.
- Mental health clinical nurse specialist.
- Community co-ordinators.
Anyone can ask for more information about Links. It is available from your legal representative, juvenile justice team or court staff.

How they can help
If you are at court and feel confused, worried, stressed, upset or hopeless then they are there to help.
Sometimes you may feel like you cannot control your emotions and behaviour. Maybe you think your mental health influenced your actions that brought you to court.
Links is a free service that helps young people with their mental health and psychosocial needs.
You do not need to enter a plea to access the Links service.
They will first have a chat about what is worrying you, how you are feeling and what Links service can help you with.
If you choose to engage with Links, they can book you in for an initial appointment to meet with the team.
They can assist with linking you to community services to support with your mental health and psychosocial issues such as education, employment, transportation and accommodation.
