National Domestic Violence Order Scheme
The National Domestic Violence Order Scheme commenced on 25 November 2017.
This scheme allows family violence restraining orders to be enforced across Australia. It also applies to police orders.
You can choose to have new orders declared to be nationally recognised. This means you are protected across Australia.
If you are not planning to travel to or live in another state or territory, you may choose not to declare your order. You will remain protected in Western Australia.
