Children's Court Transcription Services
Information Note
The company that currently produces transcripts of Children's Court hearings is closing down and will no longer be able to provide these services to the Court.
Unfortunately, this means there will be delays in obtaining transcripts and processing transcript requests. These delays are outside the Court's control.
The Department of Justice and the Court are working together to put new arrangements in place for transcription services. However, it will take some time before these arrangements are fully operational, but hopefully not more than two months.
In the meantime, the Court is working to ensure that transcript requests are dealt with according to priority. Where possible, parties will be advised if a transcript is unlikely to be available for a particular hearing.
The Children's Court appreciates the patience and understanding of everyone who relies on these services, including parties, their families and legal representatives. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
