The Children's Court understands the importance of having an accessible website.
Our goal is to provide information to as many people as possible.
We have used simple language wherever we could.
We have used the Hemingway Editor to verify the content is year 8 reading level or lower.
This site uses templates that meet Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Forms and other documents are not compliant with the guidelines.
Please contact the court is you are having any problems.
Here are some ways to resize the text on this site:
- Using the zoom and increase font options from your browser's menu.
- Press the Ctrl key (Microsoft Windows) or the Apple key (Mac OS) on your keyboard and use the + or - key to zoom in and out.
- Press Ctrl on your keyboard and scroll with your mouse wheel.
Where possible, PDF documents are also available in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
All documents will open in the same browser window.
If you do not have the software to view documents, the following free downloads are available.

Another function available on this site to improve useability is ReadSpeaker.
This is a free service and does not need anything extra to use.
A "Listen" button is on the top of every page.
Clicking on the button will load a toolbar. You will then hear the page read out. The tool bar lets you stop or pause the reading.
During the reading, you can follow the highlighted words on the web page.
Next to documents is a "Listen" icon. Select the icon to listen to the document and follow the highlighted words as they are being read to you.
You can hear the whole document or select certain parts.
